Micaela (Mia) Stevenson is a first year student at Eastern Michigan University majoring in biology with minors in health and illnesses, psychology, chemistry, and women’s studies. She is the social media coordinator for an organization doing relief work in Cameroon, a violinist for the Ypsilanti Community symphony orchestra, a violin instructor, a volunteer in 1 hospital and one clinic, president and founder of the organization My Health in the Ypsilanti community, researcher, and an avid reader and writer. She spends the little free time she has watching Netflix, going to movie theaters, telling jokes, eating East Asian cuisine, and reading about science. She loves cliff bars, pie, an people watching. Her goals after earning a degree in Biology are to attend medical school and become a pediatric surgeon as well as to get a tattoo of a stethoscope and microscope and eventually find time to eat a healthy meal every once in a while.
